The Ford C-Max Has It All

Ford redesigned what performance means in a hybrid when it introduced the new C-Max. It is not only stylish and roomy for a compact hybrid, but it also offers much more in the way of performance than one would expect. Let’s see some of the technology that it uses to do this.

Let’s start out with the 2.0L Atkinson-Cycle I-4 Engine. It continuously alternates with a lithium-ion battery to deliver an impressive 188 hp in all-electric mode. An electronically controlled continuously variable transmission helps deliver power to the wheels when you are accelerating, making it perform more like its nonhybrid competitors. It does all this while achieving 42 mpg city and 38 mpg highway. When it comes to fuel efficiency and power, the C-Max tops the list of hybrids.

Be sure to stop by Junge Ford Center Point to experience this new redesigned hybrid technology.
